Museum Bahal

Bahal Temple Museum is located opposite the checkpoint Bahal Temple I. The museum building is similar to building a regular house. CHANDI BAHAL III

Candi Bahal II terletak sekitar 100 m dari jalan, namun Untuk mencapai lokasi Candi Bahal III orang harus melalui jalan setapak, pematang sawah dan perumahan penduduk. Di antara bangunan utama dan pintu gerbang juga terdapat  fondasi atau panggung berbentuk  dasar bujur sangkar berukuran sekitar 5 m2. Tangga  naik ke panggung yang dibuat dari batu merah tersebut terdapat di utara dan selatan.

Ukuran dan bentuk bangunan utama Candi Bahal III sangat mirip  dengan bangunan utama Candi Bahal II. Pintu masuk ke ruangan dalam tubuh candi juga terletak di timur.

Tidak terdapat pahatan pada bingkai pintu, namun sepanjang dinding tatakan dihiasi pahatan dengan motif yang mirip  bunga. Tidak terdapat pahatan pada keempat sisi dinding tubuh candi. Tidak terdapat pahatan pada keempat sisi dinding tubuh candi.

Atap Candi Bahal II berbentuk limas  dengan puncak persegi empat. Mirip dengan atap Candi Bahal II, namun tidak terdapat deretan lobang pada atap candi ini. 

Tidak terdapat hiasan kepala makara di depan tangga naik ke selasar di permukaan tatakan, namun terdapat pahatan yang sudah kurang jelas bentuknya di pipi tangga di kaki candi.

Di utara bangunan utama terdapat batu  potongan arca. Yang sebuah berbentuk seperti tatakan patung dengan hiasan kelopak teratai di sekelilingnya, mirip dengan yang terdapat di Candi Jago maupun Candi Singasari di Jawa Timur.  Sedangkan potongan lainnya tampak seperti bagian kaki dari sebuah arca yang dibuat dalam posisi berdiri, karena di bagian bawah terdapat bentuk kaki, lengkap dengan jari-jarinya.

Museum Bahal

Museum Candi Bahal terletak di seberang pos penjagaan Candi Bahal I. Bangunan museum ini mirip dengan bangunan rumah biasa. Dalam museum tersimpan berbagai bentuk dan jenis bagian candi-candi Bahal yang masih belum diketahui letaknya semula atau, yang karena alasan tertentu, belum dapat dikembalikan ke tempatnya semula.

Di museum tersebut juga dilakukan rekonstruksi potongan dan susunan batu dan bata untuk menemukan kembali  bentuk, susunan dan letaknya semula. Potongan batu yang ditemukan di ketiga situs Candi Bahal umumnya merupakan bagian dari sebuah arca atau hiasan dan bukan merupakan reruntuhan bangunan yang umumnya terbuat dari batu bata.

Di antara objek yang tersimpan dan mengalami proses rekonstruksi di museum adalah potongan arca berbentuk raksasa dalam posisi berdiri sambil memanggul gada. Di samping itu juga terdapat sekumpulan batu bata yang memiliki lubang-lubang yang, konon merupakan jejak kaki binatang. Kumpulan batu bata ini ditemukan pada tahun 2000  di pelataran  Candi Bahal I.

Banyak yang dapat dilihat di museum ini. Sayang museum ini tidak dibuka secara rutin untuk umum. Tidak selalu ada petugas yang dapat ditemui. dari petugas yang ditemui juga tidak banyak  informasi yang bisa didapatkan.
